The P is a versatile and cost-effective 20mm diameter pole stand which includes an F-size focus block and plain base. The focusing block features dual coarse focus knobs, rack and pinion gearing, a safety clutch with tension adjustment and 55mm of travel. The base base includes reversible white & black stage plate and two stage clips.

The new Omano 80 LED ring light offers a combination of cool, bright, shadow-free illumination with adjustable intensity control and affordable pricing. Designed to replace our 10W and 12W fluorescent ring lights, this light is an inexorable step away from fluorescent illumination in microscopy applications.

The light has an internal diameter of 60mm with adjustable retaining screws for smaller housings. An adapter is also included. For worry-free operation, the light includes auto-switching power input for use with 90V-265V power supplies.

A microscope ring light is an excellent accessory for just about any scope. These lights are designed to be clamped or screwed on to the bottom of your scope’s nosepiece ring, fitting snugly around your objective lens, sometimes with the use of a specific adapter piece designed to work with your specific brand of scope. These ring lights can then be used to illuminate your sample from above, increasing the amount of reflected light and improving your ability to observe and interact with specific types of sample specimens that aren’t able to be illuminated from below. 

Controlling a microscope ring light is done through a corded box that contains on/off and intensity settings. This allows you to specify the amount of illumination you desire. Ring lights have been traditionally made with compact fluorescent bulbs, but LED technology has quickly supplanted these older bulbs because they are cheaper to operate, don’t require any warm-up time, pose no hazards from broken bulbs, and can emit almost identical color temperatures while also illuminating either the entire stage or selected portions of it.

Summary

The Meiji MA961 40 LED illumination system fits most stereo microscopes and allows true color reproduction of the specimen at all brightness levels without the yellow hue of halogen. As an upgrade from the MA964, the MA961 also features on/off control of the four circular quadrants. Durable LED technology delivers 10,000 hours of bright daylight quality, flicker-free LED illumination, which is very comfortable for the eyes. No additional white balance is necessary.

Daylight quality, true color reproduction – 6500K color temperature allows the user to see structures in their true colors without the yellow hue of halogen illumination. Flexible controls offer quadrant selection allowing off-axis illumination by quarter segment for more detailed imaging of fine surface features.
