OMFL600 Inverted Fluorescence Compound Microscope

Summary

The Omano OMFL600 is a trinocular, inverted fluorescence microscope that, in our opinion, offers an strong value equation between quality and price. There are four excitation filters, six long working distance objective lenses (3 plan, 3 phase contrast) and maximum magnification of 400x. It is a well built alternative to more expensive brands and carries a Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Optics

The microscope head is a trinocular Seindentopf with an ergonomic 30 degree angle for more comfortable viewing. It includes two WF10x eyepieces with included eyecups. Dual diopter adjustments and an interpupillary adjustment of 55-75mm allows a custom fit for each user.The nosepiece is quintuple with six objective lenses in the standard configuration.

These objectives include three, long working distance, plan achromat objectives: PLL10x, PLL25x, PLL40xS and three, long working distance phase contrast objectives: PLL10x PHP2, PLL25x PHP2, PLL40xS PHP2.

Stage & Focus

A large mechanical stage measures 217mm x 225mm with right hand, drop down coaxial controls. The stage range of motion is 79mm-112mm. Focusing also includes coaxial coarse/fine controls with adjustable tension and focus stops.

Condenser& Illumination

In addition, it has a special long working distance 0.4 N.A condenser (55mm) and a phase contrast attachment. Illumination includes a 100W Mercury arc lamp with the following excitation systems: UV-Ultraviolet, filter 330-400nm; V-Violet, filter 395-415nm; B-Blue, filter 420-485nm, G-Green, filter 460-550nm. Transmitted illumination is 6v 30W halogen.
